“Kintsugi”, il primo album degli SCARLED, un percorso in otto brani (a cui assommare i tre singoli già presentati precedentemente dalla band), con cui esplorare il concetto stesso che sta dietro al nome della band. SCAR-LED, unione di “cicatrice” e “led”, vuole sintetizzare il pensiero per cui le cicatrici, intese sì come fisiche, ma in particolar modo nell’animo, siano qualcosa da non nascondere ma, anzi, da mostrare con orgoglio in quanto rappresentanti delle difficoltà attraversate e della crescita avvenuta.Allo stesso modo, il “kintsugi” – pratica giapponese che consiste nel riparare oggetti rotti, applicando una lacca/collante misto a polvere d’oro per riunirne i cocci – rende quelli che in precedenza erano i punti di rottura, la parte più preziosa dell’oggetto stesso riflettendo perfettamente il medesimo concetto.Il disco, pur non essendo un effettivo concept album, ha quindi un forte tema ricorrente di sottofondo: l’esplorazione interioree la conoscenza di sé come strada per la crescita
personale.

“Kintsugi”, the first album by SCARLED, a journey in eight tracks (to add up the three singles previously presented by the band), with which to explore the very concept behind the band’s name.
SCAR-LED, union of “scar” and “led”, wants to synthesize the thought that scars, understood as physical, but especially in the soul,
are something not to be hidden but, rather, to be proudly displayed in as representatives of the difficulties encountered and of the growth that has occurred.
In the same way, the “kintsugi” – Japanese practice which consists in repairing broken objects, applying a lacquer/glue mixed with gold dust to bring the pieces together – makes those that were previously the breaking points, the most precious part of the object itself perfectly reflecting the same concept.
The disc, although not an actual concept album, therefore has a strong recurring background theme: inner exploration and self-knowledge as a path to personal growth.
