Alter Echo” è il secondo album dei LIFESTREAM, dopo l’ottimo “Diary”, in cui la band toscana ribadisce la padronanza compositiva e la brillantezza melodica nel combinare trame progressive e hard-rock a tinte AOR.

Un concept album che racconta la storia di due mondi simili ma divisi dal tempo e dallo spazio.
Una disastrosa ascesa evolutiva di uno dei popoli rende inospitale il proprio pianeta e, venuti a sapere dell’esistenza del pianeta gemello, compiono un viaggio alla ricerca di una nuova casa. Arrivati a destinazione trovano solo le rovine di quel che è stato l’altro popolo che nel frattempo ha commesso gli stessi identici errori. Vengono fuori le paure più antiche e dimenticate fino a che, come una sorta di involuzione, si trovano costretti a ripetere nuovamente la loro storia.
In un’altra lettura è un confronto tra l’uomo moderno e l’uomo primitivo, tra la ragione e gli istinti, tra la consapevolezza e l’indifferenza.

A disastrous evolutionary rise of one of the peoples makes their planet inhospitable and, having learned of the existence of the twin planet, they make a journey in search of a new home. Arrived at their destination they find only the ruins of what was the other people who in the meantime made the exact same mistakes. The oldest and most forgotten fears come out until, like a sort of involution, they find themselves forced to repeat their story again.In another reading it is a comparison between modern man and primitive man, between reason and instincts, between awareness and indifference
