“Domus Venetkens” è il terzo album per i trevigiani ANTILABE’, stavolta in forma di suite in dieci parti, a raccontare un lungo viaggio, storia di migrazioni venete che arrivano da lontano prima di stabilirsi nell’attuale nord-est italiano. Un viaggio dal respiro mediterraneo dipinto da incantevoli tessiture prog-etno-jazz in cui non mancano brillanti citazioni classiche tratteggiate da un pianoforte Steinway del 1921.
Tra eleganti e trasversali sonorità jazz-rock dai rimandi seventies e raffinati tratti sinfonici, “Domus Venetkens” è probabilmente il lavoro più entusiasmente in casa Antilabe’ nel loro percorso venticinquennale.

Il tessuto musicale dell’opera si sviluppa secondo i canoni della suite, una serie di composizioni legate fra di loro da brevi transizioni che, prive di soluzioni, ne fanno un continuum unico. Seguendo concettualmente il racconto, ogni parte è contraddistinta da suoni e parole che definiscono la dimensione spazio-temporale specifica, filtrata comunque dall’originalità dello stile proprio degli Antilabé.

“Domus Venetkens” is the third album for the Venetian ensemble ANTILABE ‘, this time in the form of a ten-piece suite, to tell a long journey, a story of Venetian migrations arriving from afar before settling in the current north-east of Italy. A journey with a Mediterranean breath painted by enchanting prog-ethno-jazz textures in which there are also brilliant classic quotes outlined by a Steinway piano from the 1800s.
Between elegant and transversal jazz-rock sounds with seventies influence and refined symphonic features, “Domus Venetkens” is probably the most enthusiastic work of Antilabe ‘in their twenty-five year course.
The musical fabric of the work is developed according to the canons of the suite, a series of compositions linked to each other by short transitions that make it a unique continuum. Conceptually following the story, each part is marked by sounds and words that define the specific space-time dimension, however, filtered by the originality of the style of Antilabé band.
