Dall’Argentina una straordinaria rivelazione sul versante avant-prog !!!
HELMUT ROBOT, al secondo album con “Kowloon” pubblicato dall’eccellente Viajero Inmovil, sono ispirati da un eclettismo debordante, capace di deviare da picchi avant-metal a del tango stralunato, da atmosfere filmiche a ritmiche travolgenti, grazie ad un’abilità tecnica e compositiva strabiliante.
Mr.Bungle, Fantomas, ma anche il buon vecchio zio Frank (Zappa) e tanto altro ad ispirare, Helmut Robot sciorinano senza tregua un’esaltante centrifuga musicale mozzafiato, ricca di svolte repentine e citazioniste.
Non per tutti (come l’arte più azzardata), ma un appuntamento imperdibile per tutti gli amanti delle propaggini avant-prog più folli e sorprendenti !!!
Helmut Róbot biography
Founded in 2004, this Argentinian quartet takes the band members nicknames from a short novel written by one of their friends, Adrián González. Their music contains a mixture of progressive rock, metal, tango, jazz, and of course avantgarde rock.
Their music is influenced by a certain Californian scene of the 90s: bands like Mr Bungle, Idiot Flesh and Estradasphere. They debut in 2009 with a self produced album Desde Bären Hasta Olvidus Muscus. Their second album is an unplugged live. In 2016 they have signed for teh label VIAJERO INMOVIL which features most of the Argentinian avantgarde artists (from Progarchives).
