I Choice Quartet sono Roberto Barni, compositore di tutti i brani, alla battteria e al contrabbasso in alcune tracce, Armando Barni al sax alto, Sergio Battaglia al sax tenore e Massimiliano Gintoli al basso elettrico.“Il titolo di questo di questo progetto, “Battiti asincroni”, intende testimoniare la mia predilezione e profonda fascinazione per i tempi dispari, che si fondono in una danza scomposta ma metodica, un gioco che trae la sua liceità dalla libertà che la musica, e in particolare il jazz, concede e auspica a se stessa. The Choice Quartet are Roberto Barni, composer of all the songs, on drums and double bass in some tracks, Armando Barni on alto sax, Sergio Battaglia on tenor sax and Massimiliano Gintoli on electric bass.
“The title of this project, “Battiti asincroni”, intends to testify to my predilection and profound fascination for odd times, which merge into a decomposed but methodical dance, a game that draws its legitimacy from the freedom that music, and in particular jazz, it concedes and wishes to itself.
